Amy Pysden and Daniel Clarke are a professional photographer/journalist team who moved into independent filmmaking in 2013. We have sold our work to the BBC, Foxtel, Binge, Amazon, DocPlay, SBS and NITV, as well as having our documentaries screened at film festivals in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Vancouver, Toronto, France, New Zealand, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide.

We have produced four feature-length documentaries and produced seven episodes for the nationally-broadcast Our Stories series on NITV since 2014. Our films have been nominated for Best Documentary four times in the South Australian Screen Awards. Director Daniel Clarke received a coveted Walkley Award for his latest feature doc Lost in the Woods (2023), available to watch on Foxtel Now and Binge. He was also named 2023 SA Journalist of the Year and Best Rural/Regional Journalist.

Ad Hoc Docs is based in Adelaide and Kangaroo Island and specialises in independent film, photography, professional video editing and small business advertising.
