A man has been arrested after police allegedly located firearms, drugs and knives during a vehicle search on Kangaroo Island.
Patrols stopped a white Holden ute on Collins Crescent, Baudin Beach about 9.40pm yesterday and police conducted a search of the 26-year-old Athol Park man and his vehicle.
During the search, police allegedly located a flick knife, two bb handguns - one of which was loaded - along with quantities of methamphetamine, cannabis and heroin.
The man was arrested and charged with possessing a prohibited weapon, possessing firearms without a licence, possessing unregistered firearms and three counts of trafficking a controlled drug.
He was refused police bail and is expected to appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court today.
The man was also issued with an immediate loss of licence after allegedly returning a positive roadside drug test for methamphetamine.
The firearms will undergo further forensic examination.
