House fire causes $100,000 damage

A fire has caused an estimated $100,000 worth of damage to a house at Seddon earlier today.

​

The CFS arrived at the structure fire on Research Centre Road about 11.30am, with nine firefighters and one truck in attendance.

The fire had been extinguished prior to the CFS arrival by quick thinking residents and work colleagues from the nearby Kiland headquarters. 

 

CFS crews worked to monitor and make the area safe while helping residents remove clothing and valuables from the premises. 

 

Fire damage was contained to a single room but smoke damage was present throughout the house.

SA Police and SA Ambulance were also supporting on scene but no injuries were reported. Fire Investigators are attending the site this afternoon to determine the cause.
